swimsync(“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the swimsync mobile application (the “Service“).

At swimsync, we are committed to protecting your privacy as a user of our App and services. We respect the privacy and confidentiality of the information provided by you and adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles established in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Who we are

The Service was created by developers based in Queensland, Australia. We also present the functions of the Service, updates and tips on how to use the Service on third party platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and the Service website. The Android version is available on Google Play and the iOS version is available on Apple’s Play Store.

The information we collect

We will collect information about you when you sign-up on the Service or when you contact us. We may also collect certain information when you visit our website. We use the personal information (e.g. your email) we collect to communicate with you and to help you operate the app.

Your control to enter and delete data

If you have created an account, you can choose to enter swimming results and personal data such as swimmer names. The app will not request camera access (Android). You can delete information or the app at any time. You can also choose to store your information on our server. Data is encrypted on the server. Information collection and use

While using our Service you may provide us with information, including personally identifiable information when you create a user account or communicate with us,that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address and your name (“Personal Information”). The purpose for which we collect personal information is to provide you with the best service experience possible on the Service and for our internal business purposes that form part of normal business practices. If you create a user account, we will ask you to provide us with your email address, login information, and password. This information will allow us to create and maintain your user account, identify you as one of our registered users and, to send you information about the Service. Some provision of personal information is optional. If you communicate with us we may use your account information and other information you may provide us to answer your queries. We do not keep your Personal Data when you terminate your use of the App and our services.

Log data

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, and other statistics (“Log Data”).

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.We may use Google and/or other third-party service providers to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on our website or App. They may collect anonymous information about your use of our App or visits to our website and your interaction with our products and services. They may also use this information to provide more relevant advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

We may from time to time need to disclose certain information, which may include your Personal Data, to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request. Also, swimsync may use your Personal Data to protect the rights, property or safety of swimsync, its customers or third parties. If there is a change of control in one of our businesses (whether by merger, sale or otherwise), or a sale or transfer of its assets, customer information, which may include your Personal Data, could be disclosed to a potential purchaser under an agreement to maintain confidentiality, or could be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. We would only disclose your information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by contacting us.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We use technical and organisational measures in order to protect your personal information against the risks of damage, destruction, loss or unauthorised access, in accordance with applicable laws.
